It’s time to turn up the excitement and raise the roof on membership with our “Best of the Best” spring membership campaign! This is your chance to showcase what makes South Dakota’s home building community strong, connected, and ready for growth during the 2026 membership drive from the National Association of Home Builders.
Thanks to the dedication of our current members, our current association stands strong at 2,092 members. But we’re not stopping there; it’s time to hammer out a goal for 2026. Our target for this year’s Raise the Roof – Best of the Best Campaign is 2,235 Members!
That’s a bold growth goal, and we know our members have what it takes to reach it. Every new member is a brick in the foundation of a stronger, more connected home-building community across South Dakota.
Membership is more than a number; it’s about building relationships, strengthening businesses, and supporting the professionals who make our communities thrive. This spring, we’re challenging Home Builders Associations across South Dakota to bring their best recruiting energy, connect with industry partners, and celebrate what it means to be part of something bigger.

What Does “Best of the Best” Mean?
Being the best means focusing on growth, engagement, and retention with our membership community. It means inviting colleagues, vendors, and business partners to experience the value of membership firsthand. Sometimes the best recruitment tool is simply sharing your story and explaining how association membership helps businesses succeed.
This year’s drive offers great opportunities to make recruitment fun and rewarding. Associations that achieve 4%–6.99% net growth can receive $1,000 to host a local networking event, along with bonus spike points and complimentary registration for one Executive Officer to attend the Association Management Conference. Go even bigger by reaching 7% or higher net growth and earn $2,000 to support a networking event plus additional recognition.
And don’t forget the member recruitment bonus! New members—and the members who recruit them will receive a complimentary “I’m a Member” car magnet (while supplies last for the first 1,000 orders). It’s a small ay to show big pride in being part of the home building community.
How You Can Help Raise the Roof
The best membership drives are powered by personal connections. Take a moment to reach out to someone in your network who would benefit from joining. Invite them to an event, introduce them to other members, or simply share what your association means to you and your business.
Watch your association’s progress throughout the drive period, celebrate every new member, and keep the momentum going from April 1 through June 30, 2026.
